In response to a report by SaharaReporters, Bara Ogidi, a Bayelsa State-based journalist and the writer of tracknews has been arrested by operatives of the Department of the State Security (DSS).
SaharaReporters learnt that Ogidi’s arrest on Sunday was in reference to an alleged controversial libel suit involving the Govt Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, Simbi Wabote, and the writer of the Point Blank Information, Jackson Ude.
A household source stated DSS operatives numbering 15, stormed his residence and whisked him away within the presence of his spouse and kids to an unknown vacation spot.
